We’re excited to release Netop’s preliminary trip schedule for 2010. The list includes old favorites and a few new trips that are sure to be a hit. As campers get older their trip choices expand to include canoeing and high-alpine adventures. Popular trips include our 18-mile canoe trip down the Saco River, the scramble up to the 6,200-foot peak of Mt. Washington and Old Orchard Beach.

2010 Camper enrollment strong

February 17th, 2010

happycampers

Following solid growth in 2009, Netop is pleased to report that 2010 is shaping up to be a banner year. Enrollment is running well ahead of last year’s pace, due to a very strong camper return rate and an active network of referrals and new camper interest. Netop’s longer season and flexible sessions, including a new 10-day “starter” option, are contributing to the growing excitement. More tent platforms were added last year and plans are in the works for additional tents in 2010. Reserve your son’s spot today!

Lodge restoration update

February 14th, 2010

The first major milestone in Netop’s Lodge Restoration Campaign – the new main entrance and demolition of the old chimney – is nearly complete! The project was made possible thanks to the generous support of Netop’s alumni and current camper families. It’s part of a $125,000 investment in the 80 year old structure over the next two years. Other upcoming upgrades include changes to the electrical system, a new roof, expanded kitchen and office space which will take place during the off-season and in conjunction with our annual volunteer weekend (held June 18-20 this year). Contact us if you haven’t had a chance to contribute to the lodge campaign or would like to lend a hand during volunteer weekend.

Lodge renovations underway

December 27th, 2009

Having already raised over $45,000 from the Lodge Restoration Campaign, Netop is pleased to announce that improvements have begun on the historic 1927 structure. The new front entrance is already nearly complete (pictured above). Crews dismantled the old chimney (pictured below) to make way for the new entrance. A new roof, expanded office, upgraded electrical service, bathroom upgrades and an expanded camp kitchen are also in the works and will be phased in over the next two years. We are grateful for the many financial contributions from alumni and Netop families that make this project possible. Visit the Lodge Campaign page to learn more about the effort and how you can help.
