Free Time

Unstructured play spurs creativity and independence.

Let’s reclaim “free time”

Free time occurs several times each day, generally before or after a meal. During free time, campers have the opportunity to play and relax with some of their favorite games and activities. Counselors are actively engaged during free time to participate, supervise or encourage as needed.

Campers enjoy many free time activities, such as:

  • Reading a book
  • Playing gaga
  • Shooting hoops
  • Playing tennis
  • Fishing
  • Playing ping pong or tetherball
  • Hanging out with friends
  • Playing chess, Kubb or Spike-ball
  • Playing foosball
  • Playing pick-up soccer
  • Throwing a frisbee
  • Practicing guitar
  • Writing a letter home

I think today's technological world is filled with distractions that take away from the things that really matter -- things like introspection, building friendships and enjoying all the benefits of being in nature. I can't tell you the sense of peace that Netop gave me while our boys were there.
