Wilderness Trips 2017

August 16th, 2017

Netop campers ventured out on 11 wilderness trips this summer. Many trips were 2 days; some were 3 days. Trips typically involved 12 boys and 3 staff. All included camping out, cooking meals, telling stories, making S’mores and creating memories.

From Maine to New Hampshire, Netop campers of all ages hiked, climbed or canoed in many picturesque spots, including:

  • Acadia National Park
  • Mt. Katahdin
  • Mt. Washington
  • Coos Canyon
  • Isle au Haut
  • Tumbledown Mountain
  • Mt. Chocorua
  • Kancamagus Highway area
  • Panther Pond & Hawthorne Cove

The Netop High Peaks Club had many participants reach new cumulative levels: to Pike’s Peak (14,114′), Mt. Denali (20,310′) and, for the first time, Mt. Everest (29,029′). Congratulations to Gabriel Torres for this accomplishment!
